Was Kyle Freeland over reacting to the Devers homer? Did Framber cross his catcher up on purpose? Let's find out… (8 mins)
We have another fun one! The team (Producer Henry) put together a list of 20 bobbleheads that were released this year, and I attempted to guess who they were. Did you do better? Let me know down in the comments. (9 mins)
Though the Yankees are playing really well as of late, and the Mets have come on a bit behind strong rookie pitching, something definitely changed for both New York MLB teams at the All-Star break. Let's get into it... (17 mins)
For years, Tommy John Surgery has been the number one concern of MLB pitchers across the board. The time to rehab alone was enough to send you into a panic at the slightest twinge in your elbow area (trust me, I know). Recently though, surgery success rate has climbed so high that some parents are asking if getting it done BEFORE injury is the way to go (IT ISN'T!).

Congressman Teixeira? Congressman Wainwright? Why more baseball players could start running for office

If the Mariners are truly going to make the postseason, they are hell-bent on making it as stressful as possible. An inability to win on the road mixed with un…
My writer and resident Mariners superfan Henry Neiman wrote about Seattle’s path to the postseason.
STAT OF THE WEEK - Extension (EXT)
Extension quantifies exactly how much closer a pitcher's release point is to home plate. Taller pitchers with long wingspans tend to have the longest Extensions, because their frames allow them to hold on to the ball for a greater distance before releasing it.
Not surprisingly, a longer Extension can be a major advantage to pitchers, because they are essentially shortening the distance between themselves and opposing batters. A pitcher with a longer Extension can make a 93 mph fastball look like a 96 mph fastball. In this regard, Extension is a key component in the Statcast metric "Perceived Velocity." (via MLB)
